MarketStar – Getting Started Guide

Welcome to MarketStar Commodity Trading Research.

Thank you for subscribing to MarketStar — a transparent, market research-only platform focused on Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Gold, and Silver futures.  This page explains exactly how to access your research, interpret trade data, and follow updates responsibly.

1. Accessing Your Research

After successful payment, you’ll receive a welcome email within 24 hours containing:

  • ✅ Your Google Sheet access link (Global Commodity or MCX India version, depending on your subscription)

  • ✅ A brief introduction on how our research is structured

  • ✅ Contact us for support.

Please Note: You will be able to open the Google Sheet on any device — desktop, tablet, or mobile — using your registered gmail ID. We need your gmail id to give access to the Google Sheet.

If you have not received Google Sheet access within 24-48 hours, please check your spam folder or contact us.

2. How to Read the Google Sheet

Each trade idea is presented in a clear, standardized format:

Column Description
Date/Time When the trade was published or updated
Commodity Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Gold, Silver
Trade Type Long / Short
Entry Price Entry price based on our research and trading system. Actual buying by subscribers/traders depends on their specific execution.
Target Price Projected target or exit level, based on our research and trading system.  Actual exit by subscribers/traders depends on their specific execution.
Stop Loss Predefined level for risk control, to close the trade with a stop loss. Every trade must have a stop loss. Very important.
Status Open / Target Hit / Stop Loss Hit / Closed
Notes Notes, comments, trade updates, chart links to share technical analysis with subscribers

Every subscriber views the same information — updated in real time by our research team.

⏱️ 3. How Often We Update

  • New trades are published only when high-quality setups appear. We are tracking the markets constantly, but we are often waiting for good quality or high quality setups to appear, which pass the trade quality thresholds of our trading system.

  • Updates (targets, stops, closures) are posted as soon as possible.

  • On average, based on last 2 years of data, subscribers/traders can expect 3–5 structured setups per month per commodity, depending on market conditions. Sometimes just 1-2 trading setups deliver very good gains. In general, Trending markets are easier to trade than Consolidating markets, because our Stop Loss is never at risk in a Trending market, but Trending markets come only 20% of the time, so we often have to wait patiently. In Consolidating markets, we have to take smaller trades.

We focus on quality, not quantity. There are no intraday trades or options — only structured positional setups.

4. Understanding the Approach

  • Timeframes Used: Hourly, 4-Hourly, and Daily charts

  • Trade Duration: Typically several days to a few weeks

  • Research Method: Technical and rule-based (not predictive or advisory)

  • Objective: Learning through observation of disciplined, transparent research
